Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

I am delighted to welcome you to our school community, where our mission is to support every student in reaching their full potential through excellence, innovation and opportunity.

Excellence is at the core of everything we do. We believe every student can achieve great things when given the right support and encouragement. Our dedicated teachers work hard to provide high-quality lessons that challenge students and help them build strong skills in reading, writing, mathematics and beyond. We aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated to improve every day and celebrate their achievements, big and small. We also encourage students to develop important qualities like responsibility, respect and resilience, which will help them succeed not only in school but throughout their lives.

Innovation means being open to new ideas and ways of learning. We know that the world is changing quickly, so it is important for our students to be ready for the future. At Neutral bay Public School, we use modern technology and creative teaching methods to make learning exciting and relevant. Students have opportunities to work on projects that involve problem-solving, teamwork and critical thinking. We support students in exploring new subjects like coding, robotics, and digital media, which help prepare them for future careers. Innovation also means encouraging students to be curious and ask questions, so they become confident learners who can adapt to new challenges.

Opportunity is about making sure every student has a chance to discover their strengths and follow their passions. We offer a wide range of programs and activities beyond the classroom, including sports, arts, music, leadership and community service. These experiences help students build confidence, make friends and learn important life skills. We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where all students feel valued and supported. Our school works closely with families and community partners to provide extra support and resources, ensuring that every student can succeed and take advantage of the opportunities available.

At Neutral Bay Public School, we believe that when excellence, innovation and opportunity come together, they create a powerful foundation for learning and growth. We look forward to working with you and your child to make this a positive and rewarding school experience.

Joann Sayers, Principal of Neutral Bay Public School
