Neutral Bay Public School is situated close to the busy commercial area of Neutral Bay, a lower north shore suburb of Sydney. Established in 1886, the school has a long tradition of academic excellence and is proud of its outstanding reputation for providing quality programs in all curricula as well as band, sport, languages and student leadership. Opportunity classes for academically able students in Years 5 and 6 offer extension and enrichment programs. The school attracts a number of academically talented students in the junior grades and an accelerated program caters for identified gifted students. In a safe and caring environment, all students are encouraged to be active participants in their learning. All educational programs aim to develop each student's academic, social, creative, physical, cultural and citizenship ability.
We respectfully acknowledge the Cammeraygal clan of the Guringai people who are the traditional owners and custodians of this land on which we stand.
We pay our respects to the elders past, present and to those of the future, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Aboriginal Australia.
We must always remember that under the concrete and the asphalt upon which Neutral Bay Public School was built, this land is, was and always will be, traditional Aboriginal land.
