As a result of the building upgrade, the additional permanent classroom space at Neutral Bay Public School will be upgraded to cater for 900 students from Term 1 2025. We currently have 700 enrolments.
As a consequence, we are excited to announce that the local intake area for Neutral Bay Public School has been enlarged. The area now includes residences bounded by Military Road, Warringah Freeway and the Neutral Bay side of Kurraba Street Neutral Bay. Please see the map below where the additional intake area is coloured purple adjacent to the current zone which is red. The additional areas have previously been allocated to ANZAC Park Public School and North Sydney Public School.
New families residing in the additional area will be able to enrol as an in-area enrolment via the Department of Education's online enrolment system soon. In the meantime, new families residing in the area may apply as an out-of-area enrolment commencing in 2025 via the online enrolment system. The school will consider these applications as in-area and they will be approved accordingly.
The benefit to families residing in the additional area will be substantially reduced travel times whether walking, driving or by bus. We warmly welcome our new families to Neutral Bay Public School. Enquiries regarding the changes to the enrolment area and about enrolling in the school should be directed to neutralbay-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au attention Melissa Branson or by phoning the school on 9953 1798.
Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.
Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.
If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.
If you are not able to apply online or you prefer not to, download the paper application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.
Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.
Enrolment applications are finalised at the school.
